I have an 02 Camby that has a shift seal leak on the compressor. A/C works perfect when charged - like a new system. I have ac knowledge thanks to this forum. Is it possible to easily replace this bad seal rather than replacing the entire compressor?

Possible, yes - easy, sometimes not. It often takes special tools and a practiced skill. I would replace the compressor.

Thanks. This is a Denson compressor and I figured it might be a model that is able to have this shalt seal replaced relatively easy since Auto zone offers the shalt seal for it. Thus may be an ignorant assumption but seemed plausible. Is the clutch on this model on a tapered shift or splined shalt?

Search "Denso 10S reseal" on YouTube, if that is your compressor.

Thank Hecat. I'll do that. Sorry for the spelling in my last post!!! I typed it on my cell phone and I'm a big "fat finger" guy and I just laughed at all the spelling I threw out. I appreciate your time. I'll check YouTube and see what I find. This site does confirm that it is a Denso 10S compressor.

Seal is R & R from the back side. See the break down on page 15.
