I have a Valeo 10000282 compressor on my Suburban. When you turn on the AC the clutch squeals for a few minutes. I'm assuming I need a clutch. Any idea what the part number is. Is this DIY. I used to overhaul jet engines in a previous life. Thanks
Is there a separate AC compressor belt on this (like on our 2005 Yukon)? If so, check the belt tightness, or just replace the belt first.
An AC clutch bearing issue would only make noise when the AC is NOT engaged, and turning on that bearing. You need to check visually whether the compressor is engaged and the belt squealing during the time it's squealing.
