As my 2002 Passat gets older, I notice that the AC isn't working as well while idling. While searching, I came across a few sites that suggested that this could be a symptom of a bad control valve. There is not much out there about the control valve for this compressor, but I did come across a catalog at santech.com that shows two possible choices, an A20-5020 or an A20-5021. The only difference appears to be the color of the screw at the end. When I search the ackits.com site for my vehicle, I do not see a control valve listed. Do you guys sell a control valve for this application? It appears to be something I could replace relatively easy by myself (I would have a shop evac and re-charge after the fact)
Are there any other symptoms of a bad control valve that I should be aware of?
A20-5020

A20-5021 = 31-55321

Normally you will see equal pressure on a fully charged system with a bad control valve.

Can you tell what the difference is between the two control valves listed, other that the color of the epoxy? How do I find out which one I need?
Check these options.
