2006 Taurus HVAC; air mixing issue?

Solar4 on Wed July 22, 2015 6:22 PM User is offline

Year: 2006
Make: Ford
Model: Taurus
Refrigerant Type: 134a
Ambient Temp: 95
Pressure Low: 42
Pressure High: 240
Country of Origin: United States

Vent temp originally not below 80°F. Added a few ounces of freon. Pressures don't change much and stabilize as noted above. Low side line is cold and sweating like crazy from the firewall all the way to the compressor. Low side line got cold before adding any freon. Vent temps never get below 75° even while driving in the 40-50MPH speed range.

Blend door actuator was replaced a few months ago as it would not move from the full hot position. New actuator appears to still be working correctly. I get cold air from my Accord and and it's low side line is not near as cold as the Taurus's: side by side in the garage.

Just seems like there is a problem with the ducting/ mixing of air somewhere. Any ideas? No Taurus manual's here.
