AC works fine for 30 min, 10-20 mi. or so. Compressor is still turning. If it is turned off for 5-10 min. it works again but not as well. YesterdayI had gauges on it when it quit.Low pressure slowly dropped to 0 and even slight vacuum. What does this mean.
I ordered a new TVX from this site but it would not fit so did not get changed. The old one looked OK. I do not understand how it works.
Or could it be the condenser?
This is almost always the TXV getting stuck in the closed position, so find the right one and change it.
A TXV measures evaporator temperature and pressure, and controls the refrigerant flow for optimal cooling by keeping the evaporator almost full of liquid but not completely. Too much flow will let liquid reach the compressor and damage it.
Thank you for responding tk.
