hi, I need to know how to remove the a/c condenser on my astro van. can someone who has done this, help. thanks.
Fairly straight forward- but realize that galvanic corrosion has probably set in- the plated nuts threaded on to the aluminum connections will be suspect. Aluminum and steel do not get along- and the plating to avoid that, doesn't work very often. If you can get the nuts turned off without removing too many threads- then the rest is a piece of cake. remove the grill first.

The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......
