Replace everything?

brielly on Wed March 30, 2016 6:45 PM User is offline

Year: 02
Make: Jeep
Model: Cherokee
Refrigerant Type: 134

I just replaced my leaking evaporated core but unfortunately found debris when emptying the accumulator. At this point should I just replace the condender, lines, and compressor or do I have another option?

So where has the debris come from? Is it metal? Has this vehicle had a compressor replacement?

I would do a new Accumulator, OT, Compressor, and flush everything else clean and dry.

You can flush with this

The compressor didnt fail but the some of the debris was gritty. I decided to just replace everything. New delphi compressor, condenser, accumulator and lines. For under $500 I'll have a brand new a/c system.

If you think replacing will be good idea then just go with it.
