Election Monitors Pages: 12Last

MikeH on Tue October 12, 2004 10:49 AM User is offline

I sent letters to my senators and congressmen about election monitoring by foreign countries and only heard back from one. Senator John Cornyn (R) sent me a letter which stated categorically that monitors were only here to "monitor". I don't believe him. Just like the Democratic AFL-CIO thugs that are breaking into and disrupting Republican headquarters all across the country. No respect for the Democratic process at all.

You might want to read this:

Monitoring

JJM on Tue October 12, 2004 6:22 PM User is offline

It should be obvious that the United Nations is an utter body of disgrace, deserving no legitimacy in any capacity, other than for its entertainment value as a freak show. They want to monitor OUR elections, this from an organization that boasts Cuba, Libya, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Uganda, Zimbabwe… among others, on their Human Rights Commission.

Just to give you an idea of how degenerate this organization is, Rwanda was on the commission from 1998-2000 – as if the slaughter of hundreds of thousands never even happened in 1994. In fact, African nations, where the greatest brutality and human rights atrocities have – and continue – to occur, has DOMINATED the Human Right Commission with 46 member nations from 1947-2003.

It is also noteworthy to mention that Iraq served on the Human Rights Commission from 1987-1992, notwithstanding having gassed its own people in 1988, but even more telling how the United States of America – a founding U.N. member – was kicked off the Human Rights Commission in 2001.

It is time for our government to expel all U.N. diplomats and personnel, and raze their headquarters on the east side making way for office buildings, apartments, or even a strip club... anything more productive other than this useless, treasonous body, harboring the enemy within. Let's hope this happens in a second Bush term, because the exact opposite will occur under a Kerry term.

Yes, and certain members of the UN are blocking the USA's efforts to end the Government sponsered killing in Sudan, why, because of OIL from Nigreia...........If I were Dubya, the UN would be kicked out of NYC and over to Paris where it belongs......Then I'd bomb France, after all, who needs em', they were on Saddam's payroll, along with Germany and Russia.

Lets get down.

Yes Meaux,

That is the kind of redneck talk that one would expect from a rabid Bush supporter. If they don't agree with Dubya then bomb the b******s, similarly if they dont vote for Dubya then erase them as your Saudi rulers really need ol' George in power to ensure that they get a good return on their investment whilst US troops are being slaughtered.

To be fair to the US, your guys really are consistant in your approach to third world countries.
Vietnam, Somalia and Iraq have all been approached with the same attitude, and I guess that you will be leaving iraq the same way.

Your 2000 elections were a damn good joke for us, but now we have looked deeper in to what has transpired do feel that you do need a little help with your understanding of the word "Democracy" so we just want to check to see if your elections are fair or if the US has become a corrupt Saudi run dictatorship that must be sidelined on a global scale.

Given your record with third world countries, I would be interested in how you would fare against France, Germany and Russia, they have running water and TV and stuff.

Wow Karl, you are funny. If I understand you correctly, you believe that Dubya is the only one against the needless slaughter of innocent people? I reckon you would just turn a blind eye to it. Figures.

You are a total waste of time, and all that believe like you. The UN is junk, and how about that idiot that won the junk "Nobel Prize"? What did she say? Aids was "invented" by a whiteman to wipe out the black population? Pure genius!!!
ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!! PC at it's finest!!!!

Yes, "redneck" and proud of it. Every so many years "Right" must come out and kick "wrongs" ass.

Oh by the way Karl, I'd never buy a new Mini, I should have made myself clear. I should have said a REAL Mini....Cooper S.......built by the Anglish. :-)

Back to the subject.......who is trying to destroy the election process?

As soon as the "monitors" find one unregistered voter, they will cry foul........we are not a banna republic that needs watching over by useless people.......I'd kick their asses back to where they came from...Wonder if they will try and not count the military vote again?......Dubya makes this goofy mistake of trying to "get along" with liberals/communists......Nothing he can do or say, will please them......He should know by now.

If the election isn't a landslide, it will last for months......If sKerry wins, there will be NO PROBLEM......No voter will be "disenfranchised".

Sorry Chick,

I hope that I didn't make you spill your coffee

Meaux,

Of course I'm a total waste of time because I dont agree with you, this is the Bush way, If you dont talk the Bush talk, then you dont count....especially if you are a voter.
As usual you don't understand my point. Mr Bush couldn't give a monkeys uncle for the lives of the innocent, be they US troops or civilians, he has to ensure that good returns on the Saudi investments in his and his buddies companies, some of his investers have the name Bin Laden..Hey wouldn't it be funny if one of the investers was Osama himself...Well not really because that would mean that OBL has made hif family richer off the back of the US tax payer and got them also to pay for all of his attacks on US. Not funny at all.

General rule of thumb...Kicking wrong arse illustrates something, but I can't remember just what. Perhaps that is one of Georges phrases.

The Mini was designed bu Alec Issigonis, and he was really English wasn't he?

One last thing Karl.

The government of the USA, is not a democratic form of government, it's a representive republic.

If you don't talk the "Bush Talk", then at least make sense. You're just a typical liberal that keeps changing the subject while making thing up, with you're "what ifs". Too bad you hate America so much..........Do you work for free?

I'm through with you.....................

No need to ignore Karl or anyone else! I just think its best to discuss the issue's and not the person. Heck I don't agree with 90 percent of Karl's political views but that does not stop us from being friends!

Yep, I agree with you TRB, this ia only a discussion and Karl is not a problem for me. I strive to stay away from "namecallin", because it usually means you've lost you're argument. :-)

I'm not a "rabid Bush supporter", because there are alot of things Dubya does I disagree with. I only know that if something isn't done about "terrorism", all the other problems in this country mean nothing. Dubya just happens to be the only President with the guts to do something, is he allways right? No, but if democracy is allowed to spread through the middle east, the whole world will be better off. When those people realilize that it is better to have something worth living for, instead of dying for some imagined heavenly reward, there will no reason to kill innocent people for nothing. Women will have more rights than housepets, on and on. Bill Clinton could only dream of such accomplishment. Dubya does what he says, and he's not complicated. His core values dosen't change with the political wind.....like his opponent.

Funny that yesterday, the IAEA said that nucleur material is missing from Iraq. Gee, if there never was this type of material in Iraq, how could it be missing?

But, I do admit to bieng a "redneck".........:-)

Cheers.......you too Karl.

Karl,

I don't know where you're getting your information that we're "consistent" in our approach to Third world countries; liberal Democrats led us to utter defeat in both Vietnam and Somalia, and they're trying to do the same thing in Iraq, only this time we've got a Republican that led us to victory.

The only reason our elections were "a damn good joke" was because liberal Democrats couldn't handle the fact that George W. Bush won the election, and attempted every legal - and illegal - machination under the sun to try to change the outcome of the election. The whole process was a good test of the integrity of our electoral process, as the original election results withstood the worst kinds of abuse of power, fully intact. There are few U.N. member nations that can say the same things about their elections.

Elections are not about counting votes until a desired result is achieved.

Bottom line is if the electorate were intelligent and informed, the 2000 Election would've been a landslide for Bush. The fact that a majority of U.S. citizens actually voted for Gore only underscores how ignorant the majority has become (another reason to abolish the public "education" system). What is perhaps even more frightening is how many people in our country will be voting for the candidate OUR ENEMIES favor [Kerry] notwithstanding the fact the enemy seeks to kill them.

I disagree with the great Ronald W. Reagan about America's best days are yet to come. All great civilizations eventually come end, and it looks like that is what is happening in the United States, and it was best characterized by Alexander Tyler (a Scottish history professor at The University of Edinborough) at about the time our original 13 states adopted the Constitution in 1787, regarding "The Fall of The Athenian Republic" some 2,000 years prior.

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to complacency; From complacency to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage."

I'd say we're in the seventh phase: From apathy to dependence, about ready to enter the eighth and final phase.

Joe

Any tips on how I can my hands on some of that government money, Joe. I was on active duty for five years, and received about 78 bucks a month from Uncle Sam, but the bases I was on got most of that back for uniform cleaning and other stuff. I was refused VA benefits due to some mysterious fire in St. Louis, so no money there. The rest of the time, I have been paying in lots of money.

Was just wondering how I can get my hands on some of that money is all.

LOL, Chick, our little friends seem to be able to take care of themselves adapting to a climate where imperialism of other nations have no interest to exploit. Just hang around, and when they get hungry, take a dive to get something to eat, not a bad life really.

So why do our little friends need money?

Tim,

90%? It would seem that I am making progress.

Joe, much of what you say is right, I agree, I guess the only real debate here is which candidade would be best suited to stave off the rot. I do feel that your election process is in severe danger, and to dismiss even the possibillity of this suggests further danger

Mr Meaux

So your a representative republic. Tell me who does Mr Bush represent, the American public who pay his wages, or the Saudis who pay for his failed companies, keeping the debt collector from his door, who invest in his buddies companies and who maintain his daddies lifestyle? And your answer is.......

Ha! it all makes Kofi look like a petty pilferer.
