My sister sent me this link for what it is worth.

If nothing else, a tad entertaining but suppose to let you give your point of view how are tax dollars are spent. These cartons only deals with 400 billion, thought I heard on the news the other day the budget is 2.5 Trillion. Anyway this cartoon only lets you rearrange the budget not add new things. Figure my share of the budget is $25,000.00 and wouldn't mind getting that back, LOL. Or they can send me an F-22 and a Bradley tank that I will be happy to use in time of need.

Ha, at least I could have some fun with my tax dollars.

I would live to have an F-22 for a toy - just to fly around in. I wonder what the per hour maintenance is.

The F-16 could pull over 9 g's. Most pilots can only take 8 before passing out.

There are no g specs that I can find on the F22. However, you know that it pulls more than the F-16.

So, where do you want to go today?

At last years EAA show, a guy is selling a home built jet kit for under a million based on the T-38 and claims the hourly maintenance and fuel cost is only 400 bucks per hour. Would guess the F-22 or 16 would be more in the range of $25,000 per hour, but while we are dreaming, the government should cover that cost as well. The EAA jet would only hit Mach .92, ha don't want to fool around with a plane that slow. Taped an F-16 doing a maximum performance take off, at the end of the runway, the pilot went instantly into a 90* climb, straight up until he hit 12,000 feet, was quite a sight. Could settle for an F-16, LOL, but first choice would be the F-22.

LOL, glad you didn't get upset about the budget, seems like my sister did. Regarding getting upset on this board, let's leave that up to Meaux.

Come on Nick, I never get upset! I'M ALLWAYS IN COMPLETE CONTROL, DANGIT!!!!!!!! :-)

I noticed the cookie man left out 65%+ of the Federal Budget.....Social Welfare and Entitelments... Yes folks, it's alot more than we spend on the Military..........:-)

I'm sure whoever made that cartoon, has a problem with the Military.....only a total of 400 Billion?.....stick the other catagorys I mentioned in there, and you'll get to the 2.5 Trillion. Kinda makes the Military look alot smaller huh?

I guess he has a small monitor, and couldn't fit that many cookies on the screen!!!! ! :-)

Not sure why I am so paranoid, this site may have nothing to do with the federal budget and be just another Pandora's box for receiving tons of SPAM by requesting all of the above personal information. Ha, my sister may be a lot more trusting than what I am.

With any form of income tax where the government takes a percentage of what you earn, they are going to get that entire buck back anyway plus a little bit more. What really bugs me is that I have to pay taxes on my savings account interest. In what the government claims the inflation rate was for last year and what little the banks are paying in interest, the two numbers are about the same, around 2%.

This means that my value of my savings account with interest is worth the same amount of money today as was it was worth a year ago without the interest. But I have to show a gain with the interest even though my money with interest is not worth anymore than it was worth last year. So why isn't there a space on the 1040 to deduct the inflation rate? The bastards.

My property taxes also went up 2% even though my home is a year older with no improvements for this last year, the city claims my home is worth 2% more due to inflation so I have to pay an additional 2% in taxes. The key cause of inflation is our constant trade deficit, always OPEC, then the Japanese, now the Chinese, not to mention the loss of jobs in this country that is putting more people on the welfare side of the equation or as you stated, a refund in unpaid income taxes. In the 70's our government was actually paying the Japanese 10% on all those imported goods while they were hitting our own industry with that amount of taxes which automatically gave the Japanese a 20% selling advantage over American industry. Believe me, it was hell even trying to compete with them and this continued both under republican and democratic leadership. So which party do I favor? I hate them both, with no help from the EPA in dealing with pollution problems, just fines that forced many a company to move to Mexico or to China.

As far as American industry is concerned the major enemy is the US government. I hope George has something up his sleeve in sending billions to Iraq that will help our economy in the long term, the polls are already showing that the hardest working people in the world are right here in the USA and that they are getting the least in return. So when are we going to quit trying to support the rest of the world?

All career politicians should be lined up and shot. Ted Kennedy would be the first to take a dirt nap.

I vote Republician because they will take us to hell just a little slower than the Democrats, and there is only 2 choices...

The way the Dems are going nowdays, (complety imploding and not making any sense) there will be only 1 choice. (not good) I'm sure they will straighten up their act in the next 4 years to get Hitlary elected. I'm gonna try and enjoy myself for the next 4 years, and pray my son dosen't have to get his graduation handshake at the Academy from a female communist.

I only have checking accounts at every bank in town, no savings accounts, 1 small IRA, under the reportable limit, but if the IRS wants to get me and my money any time they want, there is nothing that can stop them........Don't ask how I know. I assure you they can go back in your life as many years as they want and claim you owe them at one particular time and......there ain't a damn thing you can do about it. Why won't they check out folks like Jesse Jackson and the NAACP that are "Tax Exempt"? There's millions to be had there, I guess cause it's alot eaiser to run over the little guy........

Whoever balances the trade deficit has my vote, having a positive trade deficit would load Washington down with money even trickling some down to us.
