I am so happy, I get a 10% discount on hotels

Country of Origin: United States

Why? Because I am a member of a motor club, the American Legion, AARP, and my credit card. In checking rates for all four sources on a specific hotel going through the individual sites, they were all identical to what either expedia or hotels.com offers without being a member of any of these organizations. And while expedia and hotels claim extra discounts, their prices are no different than going directly to the hotel site. So why are all these places advertising a 10% discount? Same with airline and car rental rates. Oh boy, become a member and enjoy extra discounts saving you thousands each year, just another case of the big lie.

You're right, it's BS.

On my last trip, Expedia Advertised two swimming pools at the Raddison, I get to the hotel, check in, drop everything in the room, go to the bar for a beer, look out into the lobby and I see an indoor pool. I asked the bartender, "where's the outside pool"? He laughed and said, "it's right outside the side door, but it's only a hot tub". I go to the front desk and tell them what BS they have on the internet, and she says, "If you bought this off the internet, they do this kind of thing all the time, the best thing to do, is book with us directly, oh, and by the way, the "free breakfast" dosen't come with internet purchases, have a nice stay".
I went back to the room and smoked like a frieght train in their smoking room that turned out to be a non-smoking room. Last time I'll make that mistake again......My wife sent the AARP money, and I said, "heres my lighter, why don't you just burn it"?

Ha, with all six sources should get a 1 - 0.9^6 discount or 47%, but they don't let you do that.

I just returned from a short vacation in Orlando. I went for a photography class. The students paid 120 bananas per night. I booked thru cheapseats.com and got the same room for 71. per night. I think that cheappseats buys a block in certain hotels and hopes to sell them out. Maybe I just lucked out but my total bill with tax wa 236. and change.
