Anyone have any suggestions on hand held GPS units. Local bike shop allowed me to try the Garmin Forerunner 201 & Gecko 201. On my new mountain bike I do not want to mount a little computer so GPS is my next option.

Buddy if I had that old bike I sure would not be riding it! What does a first generation Harley go for?
PS: Stay on topic, I need some opinions on GPS units. I know you have already mapped out the trip to the pub and back!

Why do you need a GPS...Don't you know where you are???? Ok, I'll leave you alone now.....Bedtime in the east....

Like to know how far I have gone. You can download data and place it against a map. This helps in making new routes. Plus when I see an old fart smoking and drinking on the trail half passed out. I can call in the GPS position to the troops to help get him home!
Night buddy!

Tim... look at the Garmin eTrex line. I have a Garmin GPS III+, but they don't make them now. They make the GPS V now instead of the III+. They have maps built in. The forerunner line looks interesting too.
