I guess they forgot what quotation marks are for, and they's supposed ta know anglish.....

Yes Tim, now I understand what you meant by F1 teams "jumping ship". I didn't know Brigstone was comming out with a better tire. Seems that after the USGP, Michlien has figured they have too many customers, and don't want to carry that "burden" anymore...:-)

What luck McLaren had today......

Did I not mention that my buddies kid brother worked for Sky News.

Ask any European what they think of George and I think that you will find that the majority of us have an issue with him, we're just looking after you guys in your period of temporary insanity

Because we have seen little evidence that George is good for the US or the world. The man acts and speaks like a tempestuous child who has seen too many wild west films, he has no diplomatic skills whatsoever and jumps to conclusions without due consideration, his attitude is one of a global bully with no clear plan of what he wants and is incapable of being a team player on the world stage in times when the US NEEDS support from the international community, need I go on?

Tim,

I think Karl should be our next U.S. President, as he would straighten this country out, drastically lower the National Deficit, combine the Republican and Democratic parties to be renamed Republicrats, and this nation would be of no worries, be it financially or rightiousness.

Well this is BBQ day so lets break out the Pag and lay the penguins out to thaw.

P.S. Starting my own penguin farm to save a little money, those things are too expensive especially if you purchase the fresh ones. But don't tell Chick.

Yes Karl, you say Bush is not good for the USA or the world, but the majority of the American Voter dosen't share your view...He's the Elected President of the USA, not the "International Community", whatever the heck that is...you seem to suggest the "International Community" is a collection of folks that all get along...LOL! They are just scared that there is an American President that will punch em' in the mouth......and won't be shoved around by the likes of Kofi...what a joke he is.............

Really, it's none of your bidness who the USA's President is....He's been hit with problems that no other President has ever been hit with, the Economy is rolling along, all the Doom n' Gloom never materilized..and he's doing the best he can...He's not perfect and can't please everybody...Who is? I'll bet he's really concerned about what the Limeys think about him...I'm sure he losses alot of sleep over it...:-)

Maybe you would have preferred sKerry......sorry, but it ain't up to you folks across the pond....:-)

Don't concern yourself about who the US President is, I, for one, don't really care who the PM of Britian is...in a short time you'll have someone else to complain about...there is nobody that could possibly please you.

:-)

Meaux, It is interesting to note that you decided to attack me rather than defend your President, could it be that you know that you are stuck with a fool for the next few years and just wish to lash out at he who highlights this, rather like the guy who shouts at his wife when he hits his own thumb with a hammer.

Just to enlighten you, the international community is the rest of us, you know the rest of the world, believe it or not the world doesn't end when you leave the US, and there is a whole lot more of us then there are of you, please feel free to visit the rest of the world if you do not believe me. You may be interested to know that there are a great many in the rest of the world who regard the US as a rapidly deminishing power both economically and militarily, Iraq is hardly a resounding success, the so called war on on terrorism is comical, you have spent billions on it and what have you to show for it? You guys can't even decide just who is responsible for allowing you sea defences to become inadequate, or who is responsible for clrearing up the mess or what to do with all the displaced people that this natural disaster has caused, the US is rapidly becoming a third world country and the rest of the world can see this but of course you are too busy pointing the finger and shifting blame. You whine like a worn bearing when you feel that we are not falling over ourselves to bail you out, but tell us to butt out when we raise an issue with you yet much of the US aid that used to be handed out was dependant on conditions. The leader of the US is everyones business when we feel that what he does affects us and I will have my say when my tax pounds are paying for British troops to prop up the almost comical effort by the US to introduce US style democracy in Iraq, I will have my say when the jokers in your senate aren't even smart enough to fabricate enough evidence (And indeed this is what they tried to do) to stick against one middle aged Scottish MP, I will have my say when the inmates of guantanamo bay are held indefinately without trial, I have no doubt that Saddam hussein should be tried for crimes against the Iraqi people, but George W Bush should be tried for the illegal invasion of a soverin state.

Yes I know that it is all the fault of Billy Clinton, Hilly, Chelsea, Jimmy Carter, Nixon, FDR etc, etc but they are not in charge now, George is, and it is his job to do his best to sort out these problems that you have and to take the blame when things screw up, the man has no honour and no spine.

Brickmason, I'd be delighted to take up the challenge for my usual daily rate plus the use of a mobile phone

It's the only way it comes from what I understand. The important part to me is that it has 130 MM travel, US model is 150 MM. May cost too much with freight and all but I would like to know if I can even get one.

Thank you!

Karl says, "Meaux, It is interesting to note that you decided to attack me rather than defend your President,"

You call what I said an "Attack"? LOL! What I'm saying is, G.W. Bush ain't the President of the world, just the President of the USA, and it's none of your business...you have no vote here...I think it is very funny that you believe it is any of your business...LOL!!!

I didn't want to get into a long drawn out defense of Bush, because I wanted to keep it short, and I know who I'm talking to...:-) We've been down this road before Karl...nothing I can say will change your mind, because it dosen't matter to you what a person actually does...just what he's accused of...or who the President is, or will be...because the President of the USA, will allways be wrong...:-)

Karl says, "Just to enlighten you, the international community is the rest of us,"

Yes, and you folks don't have a "vote"...Why is that so hard to understand? I think your problem Karl is this: The USA is the most powerful Nation on this Planet, otherwise you and the rest of the world wouldn't care, no more than you care about who the President of Sudan is...If the USA was as weak and a crippeled nation as you think, you really wouldn't care, now would you? We would be a mere annoyance...You're just jealous Karl! :-)

Karl says, "You may be interested to know that there are a great many in the rest of the world who regard the US as a rapidly deminishing power both economically and militarily,"

Really? LOL...You are a funny guy...:-)

Karl says, "You guys can't even decide just who is responsible for allowing you sea defences to become inadequate,"

No Karl, we know, it's the folks responsibile that are shifting the "blame".....

Karl says, "You whine like a worn bearing when you feel that we are not falling over ourselves to bail you out,"

There you go again, making stuff up...who's whining for your help Karl? Is Bush begging for your help? Sorry, but you might be interested to know , we don't need your kind of "help"...:-)

Karl says, " but George W Bush should be tried for the illegal invasion of a soverin state."

Oh sure Karl, who's BIG enough to do that? Kofi and the useless UN?

You just keep gettin funner Karl...:-)

The US hasn't got enough troops to adequately support Iraq. and to cary out emergency work in NO, you're overstreched, The British built and lost a vast empire, been there, done that, you are struggling with one little patch of sand and got your butts kicked by a bunch of rice pickers in grass hats, granted you do have a lot of Nukes but the bit that worries me and the rest of the world is that the fire button is in the hands of a gung ho cowboy. If the US is so powerfull, then why do people laugh at you, and you are very carefull not to upset the Chinese? In fact you are also very warey of that little bitty country called North Korea.
Quantity has a quality all of its own

I told the gardner what you said and he's not interested in working for you so forget trying to get me to lay him off so you can steal him.

It's September. Are you going to get "Canyon" spelled right now?

Karl, it's pointless to try to tell people who've never been to Europe or Asia that the world doesn't end at the US borders. Believe me I've tried it. The conversation starts "So how did you like Europe?" and ends about 45 seconds into the answer as you see their eyes glaze over. If you try to say their cell phones or their cars or their energy management or any one of a dozen things are better than ours you get back "So why don't you move there?" instead of "Why is that and how did it happen?. Blind nationalism is a terrible thing to behold.

I only hire legal US workers my friend so your gardener would not fit in with our staff. I like my "speeling" errors and have to redo the whole banner when an edit is needed. Next week I get to start on the new main website so I have bigger penguins to fry!

China, you two should love be governed by China. They take your money and tell you what to do.

Serious note, China would not be a country I would care to go to war against. Not that I care for war in the first place but sometimes it is needed!

Karl says, "As I said whilst my Tax money is helping to prop up Bush and his escapade in Iraq, then it is my business"

Nope, that don't cut it Karl, it's your business to question YOUR OWN elected officials...Bush don't spend "your" money...It's just your imagination....:-)

Karl says, "If the US is so powerfull, then why do people laugh at you,"

I can't explain the actions of ignorant people...:-)

Karl says, "and you are very carefull not to upset the Chinese?"

So, you think we should piss em' off? Bubba gave em' what they wanted, wasn't that nice?

Karl says, "In fact you are also very warey of that little bitty country called North Korea."

That's funny, now we shouldn't try and avoid nuclear war...I thought you didn't like war, but we should be stupid and piss them off too? Make up your mind Karl, Bubba gave them what they wanted also...China is not big enough to prosecute the Pressident of the USA.....Maybe you think so.....

Well BigChris, why are you here? Must be painful to live in such a backward country...If Europe is so wonderful, why do we have to keep bailing them out?

As the USA goes, so does the world.

So does every government

Chris,

I know that some of the things that I say can be rather abrasive, and to those who have only recently joined this board I hope that I do not come across as too offencive, what I see coming from the US worries me about the future, my dad saw first hand the effects of over zealous nationalism in Germany. I do however understand that Meaux is just cranking my handle, but it is a little harmles fun, sometimes he can be quite humorous and does give me a good laugh...But not often

Sounds just like the US government to me.

Hmmm, have we won the war on poverty yet? No! How about the war on drugs? Not that one either! Maybe we need to be more selective and only start wars we have a snowball's chance in hell of winning!
