Seems like HP can't get it together, the common problem with these printers is a broken little nylon gear on the motor shaft. It's hot pressed on, and you have to buy the entire motor just to get that gear. Seems like very HP printer I have fooled with has a some common problem like they chose what problem will be next.
Fortunately that is not my problem with two 4L's I am trying to repair, I checked the fuser and the toner cartridge, the fuser runs free, but the two cartridges I have, it takes a strong man and a boy to hand turn that gear. One completely stalls the motor, the other lets the paper go half way through then dies.
Anyone have experience with 4L cartridges? Wonder if that black powder is jamming that direct drive drum? Haven't figured how how to remove that drum yet or if it's even possible. They want a fortune for these cartridges and both are full of toner.
Microsoft did it!!!!!!!
