So, I can’t put an expansion valve in there so you still think a fixed tube is better than a variable? Why are diesel excursion guys in TX and AZ loving them. I am lost there.

Blowout, Having been a diesel tech for 40 years.., I know hydro-lock. That case damage was not from refrigerant pressure. That was caused by oil trying to be compressed which it cannot.
As far as high/side question goes.., They equalize whrn not running.
As far as leaking when sitting question ...

Why do you not recommend Four Seasons 38902 ( up to 105 degrees) and 38904 ( 105+) on diesel Excursions?
