T-Bird a simple oil swap, and these are good with either refrigerant. Should have conversion fittings on these, as required by law if you're running R134a.

I've always said to turn it on once a month in the winter (Arizona
) for about 30 seconds to keep the seals oiled. Modern vehicles turn it on when the defrost is kicked in as well.

The only free answer I am giving out today. As others have said, overcharged. If the PF condenser is plumbed correctly, you should be able to match the original R12 spec. When you mention the "aftermarket" system, I take that to mean the vehicle never came with A/C from the factory. IS this correct, and you installed a universal compressor, cond, and some form of evaporator system?
