Re: 2007 Mazda Miata A/C Issue
I am trying to workout my wife's A/C problem. 2007 Mazda MX-5 (Miata) GT. Today her A/C works great, but when it is hot outside it does not get cool at all vents are warm. I hooked up a manifold and went through the pressure test as per the Mazda manual. Here are the numbers: Engine warm @ 1500RPM,...

Re: Loud compressor drive plate noise when first engages
I've also noticed a similar noise sometimes - only on first compressor engagement of the day - on my 2004 Nissan Frontier. Other than that it works fine. I haven't tried this so far in 2024 as weather hasn't required AC. I installed a new compressor, condenser, drier on this in 2018 at about 102K mi...

Re: Walmart out of r134a refrigerant in Kentucky
Walmart historically has had poor inventory control. Stay away from R134a that contains leak sealer of any kind. https://www.autozone.com/a-c-charging-and-refrigerant/r134a-refrigerant/p/shoppro-r134a-refrigerant-12oz/3275_0_0 https://www.amazon.com/Chemours-National-Refrigerant-Self-Sealing-Contain...

Re: Compressor Won’t Shut Off, Freezing Evaporator
Thanks again Tbird. My thought was that putting a cutoff switch in the wire from the LPCO would stop the compressor from running when the switch is open. Does that make sense? It is much easier to get to than the wire to the compressor. Yes, that would work to interrupt the circuit. Can someone com...

Re: Compressor Won’t Shut Off, Freezing Evaporator
On most modern vehicles, the compressor comes on when in the defrost is switched on. And on some, I've read that that the compressor stays on until the ignition is switched off. See if that happens with your Jeep.

I still got the same threat message today when I tried to Post a Reply (this reply). Then when I clicked again (like before), I don't get the message. As to the E-mail, did this block my E-mail to you, or when you tried to E-mail back to me? I'm with Cox E-mail (they will change to Yahoo soon with s...

Re: 1969 Cadillac Sedan DeVille
Let's wait until we get further clarification from the owner, thanks. By the way, I now have newer computer with Windows10 and Avast antivirus software, and when I go to the forum site I get the following message, which doesn't come up for any other site. I'll send you a screen capture of that in an...

Re: 1969 Cadillac Sedan DeVille
It's an A6 by your part number. Hub/bearing fail all the time on those. Resurface the clutch pulley, bearing, and hub. A6 will always leak for the most part. If it still has some refrigerant. I'd do the clutch rebuild first. Swap oil and accumulator and see what you get with R134a. The old caddy sh...
