Re: My new motorhome needs Air Con!!

When I don't know how something works I follow the instructions. I get that it's easy to consider me an idiot for using that stuff. It's not possible to be knowledgeable in every area. Would you rather someone hit the forum without trying what seems like a likely fix first? Like many others, you we...

Re: Schrader Valves Leaking Down

I'm under the impression that they are similar but different.

I'd get some for AC use.

Re: AC Compressor Kick in only once.

If mine, I'd see if the AC compressor was getting voltage after it kicks off; if so, then AC clutch is bad, maybe too large of a gap.

My 1998 Frontier had an intermittent AC clutch issue a few years ago; removing a shim fixed that.

Four Seasons Deslugger

Anyone else here use the Four Seasons Deslugger??? I installed the Four Seasons Deslugger in 2015 on our 2005 Yukon with rear AC when I installed a new compressor (exiting compressor kept breaking the belt), as a precaution. I removed the Deslugger - which just installs in series to the compressor w...

Re: Compressor not holding vacuum

Now it Looks like i have a bit more troubleshooting. Ac only blows through defrost vents. Ideas? (: My 1984 Jeep Cherokee had similar issue. Mine had three vacuum-operated actuators to direct its air flows. Two of these were identical part except for a paint color code, as different functions, and ...

Re: 2017 F150 AC problem.

My question is this if anyone knows, can the clutch on this compressor be replaced without discharging the AC system? The Ford dealer says no but someone on another forum says yes. Typically an AC clutch alone costs almost as much as a new compressor with a clutch. I think this is a big reason that...

Not in series; refrigerant vaporizes in an evaporator, and needs to be a liquid entering an evaporator. So an additional evaporator would need to be in parallel.

Re: Compressor not holding vacuum

I had no idea that a Sanden would have isolation valves like a York. Those were the good old days. I liked the manual isolation valves; I installed that used compressor and only lost a tad of R-12. I used a 1/4-inch socket upside down, using a L-shaped allen wrench to turn the socket on the 1/4-ich...

Re: Possible blockage

Post both high and low side pressures at about 1800 rpm after a couple of minutes.

What year Nissan Cube, and R134a? Electric radiator/condenser fans or fan clutch?

Re: Compressor not holding vacuum

Even though this site's software won't "remember me", I do remember that my 1984 V6 Jeep Cherokee had a Sanden compressor. When it seized in the early 1990s, and compressors were for this were like $700 and unavailable at that time, someone offered to swap the rear plate to a new/different...
