Christopher, I seriously doubt that you are a mobile AC technician. This paragraph, which you repeated twice, actually applies perfectly to domestic equipment, and NOT AT ALL to mobile. "The thermostat may have been accidentally set to “heat.” If this is the case, it’s easy to fix on your own....

If the evap is 30 degrees below zero then the vent temp will be 30 degrees below zero, which will freeze the evap into a solid block of ice.
