Re: gauges bleed out vacuum
hi
In a perfect world every one would vacuum system for 1 hour and vacuum hold test for 30mins with a micron gauge .
Yes u need to check gauges as these can leak by not completely turning ""off"" eg valve seating . Another issue canbe hose sealing etc at connections .

Re: What happens when capacity of system is exceeded?
hi If u can get your aircon to work better when garden hose water is applied to condenser you have a condensing problem = not big enough ***Remember industrial R12/R134a systems DONOT run the high automotive pressures ****Automotive pressures on R12 in the sixties and seventies ran lower than 180-20...

Re: Cooling issues over time
HI would be most likely a debris blocked evaporator causing freezing of the core. Be the first job I would do. Sometimes the vent airflow can be reduced but only only occasionally noticeable . Clamp heater hose is also a cheap way of diagnosis . Does the low side reading go low and if so how low jut...

HHi Shop air contains alot ,,a huge amount of moisture. Shop air condensate trap is only very basic a moisture trap such as used for spray painting worth 100-1000 dollars traps moisture. Besides moisture will be trapped in refrigeration system easily as a result just donot introduce potential proble...
