Re: Are these pressures high?
I've been having issues with this AC. The AC stopped working. A connector for the climate control was fried so I replaced. A day later it stopped working. Before I get back to the car, the owner has someone else look at it. Turns out it blew the fuse so it was replaced. A day later, the fuse blew a ...

Re: Vacuum for leak testing
I need to buy myself a tank. I would have the other day, but the investment was more than I expected.
How long will 40cf last? As in rough number of times I can test an automotive AC.
I'm trying to determine if I should go with a bigger tank.

Re: Ac troubleshooting
I've read that those HC refrigerants were illegal in the states. Peoples houses have burned down when the car was left in the garage and that stuff leaked out.
Why not just spend the cash and get some r12?

Are these pressures high?
2005 PT Cruiser 106* outside temp in the shade. This is the second time I fix an AC so not too familiar with what pressures/temps should be especially since everything else I've read or seen are in environments where it doesn't get nearly as hot as in the AZ desert. So, the AC wasn't cold, just cool...

I wanted to know how I would find out what type of condenser a vehicle has... I've heard the parallel flow along with others are impossible to flush, but I wouldn't be able to tell by looking at them which the differences are...

Re: 1971 Chevy pickup
Thank you for your reply. I've had a hard time finding the name of the forum which is why I've taken so long to get back to you. I still don't know if I should use r12 or r134a. I'm in Phoenix and this saturday is expected to be 118*. I want whatever is going to work best in my beast. One thing I di...
