Re: A/C Pressures - Opinion

Pull the charge and re charge by weight. That will eliminate charge as a source. It might even fix it.

Re: 1972 Monte Carlo freeze up issue

Monitor the low side with the engine at 1200 to 1500 rpm, remove the blower motor hot lead. The POA should be at 26.5PSI for R134 and hold it . If you look in the "tips and procedures" section, I remember putting a tropic on testing the TXV. It may be in the testing of an EPR but it should...

Re: 1972 Monte Carlo freeze up issue

TXV looks bad. Pull bulb loose and hold in your hand. Pressures must change. Bulb may have lost its charge or the TXV screen is plugged.

Make sure both hand wheels on the gauges are closed. Pour the oil out of the old compressor and measure it. Put new oil in the new compressor in t he amount that you drained.

Compressor is known to have leaks at the belly. It involves disassembly, cleaning the mating surfaces, and a new set of gasket seals.

Re: 1998 nissan maxima not cooling

Sounds as if you have blend door problems. 25psi and 175 -200psi is enough to get you some cooling. If you're getting 92º from the vents, the heater is effecting your system.
