Re: R12 -> R134a 1989 Porsche Kit Questions

Got the system charged on Tuesday. No leaks found. Good Testing so far outside temp. 93F min. vent temp. 43F. Very good When I park in the garage there seems to be water dripping out for quite awhile. Yep, the moisture from the cab air is condensing on contact with the cold evaporator, and then is ...

Re: 2005 Grand Cherokee- siezed compressor: advice please!

if the condenser is clean, should I try and flush the system and then add 4.6 oz, or skip the flush and add some quantity less than 4.6 oz? At minimum I'd reverse flush the condenser and high pressure lines with solvent then dry out with air. And change orifice tube. Oh, sorry about the dumb questi...

Re: My Pressure and Temp results. Please advice

Get the refrigerant pulled out and weighed, then the correct oz. added by a shop, likely too little refrigerant in your system. Special equipment required.

You didn't add freon (that's R-12), your 1998 Eagle takes R134a. Sure hope that you didn't add any sealant !!!

Re: Retro Kit Valve

I installed the retro kit screw on my low and high valves to my old R12 system - even though I am keeping the car an R12 car. The reason I have them installed is so my loaner gauges will work (r134 fittings). I would suggest to buy adapter hoses/fittings so the R134a service gauge hoses will fit on...

Re: My Pressure and Temp results. Please advice

Are those pressures read at 2000 rpm like they should be? Or at idle?

Re: 2005 Grand Cherokee- siezed compressor: advice please!

Hi All, I've got a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 with a seized compressor. Just bought the car, so not much history. It was cooling fine when I bought it couple weeks ago, but the compressor was noisy, so I figured I'd be replacing it soon. Next time: shut down the AC system immediately if it's nois...

Re: SD7V16 1214 pressures

175 psi high pressure seems low, even for that ambient temp. I'd add 6oz. additional R134a, and see how that goes.

Low 43psi
High 220psi
What should I look at now?
Post the pressures at about 1800 rpm after a couple of minutes at that rpm. Pressures at idle don't tell a ton.
