Re: R134a upgrade POA valve on a r12 system?

as far as posting a pic, it should be easy. I would be sure the file format is .jpg The site may have trouble with other file types. Evidently apple has a new pic file format (namely HEIF and HEVC) that is not compatible with anything, a guy on another forum couldn't make it work until we told him ...

Re: new self-sealing freon caps

Just a note, our shop would wire wheel the can when using a side tap. Just to remove any chance of paint getting into the system.

Re: GDP switches and accumulator

I do; I measured them. I can give Tim at a/c kits a call on Mon. I'm new to this trying to tell an NPT apart from an NPS connection. The green switch high pressure appears to be an NPT connection, because it screws in without an O ring and seems to taper slightly at the end. Would NPS connection al...

40 degrees, low blower speed, and vehicle cycles. I have no idea what your concern is at this point.

Re: 2007 CR-V, troubleshooting help

Tim, what was the problem with these, have any idea? They were not as bad as the HS110R, 06 models. Still seemed to be a problem child, enough they made a piston version. A quick search shows a trend of complaints. https://www.vehiclehistory.com/articles/honda-crv-air-conditioner-recalls-worth-know...

Re: compressor cycling question

Cold, not hot out, low blower, why was it cycling? Coil was cold, and cycling was not to allow the core to freeze up.

That's the way I read it.

Re: 2007 CR-V, troubleshooting help

CRV compressor woes! It's not a China issue! We would not even work on these things in our shop. Cost so much in warranty it was crazy. Using OEM new components. The only good option is if you can find the piston replacement version. But very hard to find anymore. Suppliers are out, just have the sc...

Kind of figured that. But since I have not had hands-on. Not many aftermarket vendors are really even messing with it.

R1234yf - Pulling vacuum

I had a call asking if a normal vacuum pump can be used on a vehicle equipped with r1234yf. I've not even invested any time into this refrigerant. If you could get fittings to match gauges, I honestly do see why not, but again do not know one way or the other.

Answers or opinions welcome.
