Re: 2002 F-250 7.3 - hot at idle - capacity question & help wanted
poked my head around another 7.3 in my lot at work, all of the dams and shrouds seem to be in place. 1. Are you able to try out that truck's performance at idle ? 2. Was that fan clutch you installed a factory or brand-name one ? 3. What about the fan blade itself - is that factory and correct ? Co...

Exactly what I did when I installed a new Denso compressor into our 2005 Yukon.bohica2xo wrote:You transfer the switch from your old compressor to the new one.

This is contrary to federal environmental regulations, leak needs to be fixed.atikovi wrote:Not worth finding and fixing the problem when I can recharge for $3 of freon a few times during the summer.

Re: 2012 GMC Acadia SLT
After researching a little, I found that this problem normally means the system is low on refrigerant but the weird thing is that I just charged the system about 2 months ago. Would this mean a bad leak? Sounds like a leak to me as well. Have a real AC shop find the leak for you. Most likely GM add...

Re: 2008 Mazda 3 troubleshooting
2008 Mazda 3 2.3L Replaced old A/C Compressor and dryer due to the old compressor pulling a higher load than normal when engaged. What does "pulling a higher load than normal when engaged" mean ? 90F. At 1500 rpm the low is 27psi and the high is 225psi. Check your electric cooling fans, e...

Re: Finding leak in r134 conversion - tried UV... sniffer next?
One can try to identify evaporator leaks by using a sniffer in the vents or at the condensate drain tube without removing the evaporator case or dashboard. However, about 15 years ago I confirmed a leak in my 1988 Mazda B2200 truck evaporator using plain old soap bubbles. So that's also a good techn...

See if bohica2xo in Las Vegas is willing to work on this. We've had 1994 Suburban and still have 2005 Yukon with dual AC in Arizona, both factory R134a, and the systems do cool well.

Re: 2006 denali cooling problem
Check the front blower fan for operation. Also there are like three solenoid valves under the dash that direct the air flow, maybe the air is being directed to the windshield (defrost) or under the dash (heat). I guess another issue could be a clogged cabin filter (if your 2006 has one) or debris in...

Re: No low pressure
Just thought I’d post a final report on this. Had it finished at a local shop. Here’s what was found. Blocked expansion valve. Dryer had the desiccant loose inside which is what plugged the expansion valve. You could here it rattle. Also a leaky oring on the condensor. New valve, dryer and recharge...

Re: Mechanical Fan AC delay
I'm in Phx too. Your seats, dashboard, interior are all 150-160F after sitting in the sun. That heat needs to be removed, sounds like typical Phx AC operation.
