Re: Testing Micron gauges

IMO you have a leak somewhere, especially when F shows 124306.
Or the pump is NG.

I would try them on another pump

Another possibility is they are oil logged. Rinse with Isopropyl alcohol and dry well

Re: Testing Micron gauges

You start testing the tightness of a system by connecting a gauge directly to the pump, with no other fittings. If the pump is a decent brand, with fresh oil, and the gauge is a decent brand, you should be at about 60 microns in one or two minutes. If this is not happening, then check the above para...

Re: Where is a micron gauge placed when vacuuming system?

"This video says a pump can get down below 200 microns in seconds," Correct. Surely you have an air leak somewhere. Also, the oil level is low. Strongly suggest you change the oil, also, because it is most likely saturated with water vapor, and thus will not pull down very low. Be sure to ...

Re: AC HOSES

Please review the hose sizes posted by Bohica at 9:41 this AM (above)
Be certain the condenser is upside right. You can tell by comparing the line sizes.
The larger diameter line always goes to the top (#8 hose), the smaller always to the bottom (#6 hose)

Re: AC HOSES

Do not bend the pipe on the compressor any further. It can easily be damaged. Insulate that area!!! Aerogel is one way to insulate
