Re: Not blowing cold air after charging

I recharged the AC and it blew cold air for several hours after that it stops blowing cold air. EXACTLY what did you add ???? I sure hope it did NOT contain any sealers !!!! The right way is to charge refrigerant (only) by weight; UV dye is OK. I must ask why you needed to recharge in the first pla...

Re: 2014 Land Cruiser AC Problem

The broomstick trick did not work. OK, so the AC clutch stops engaging when things get too hot, like in traffic. Proved by the broom handle test. So - if all your fans/fan clutch are fine, then possibly the AC clutch gap is too wide (broom test); some AC clutch can have a pacer removed to make this...

Re: 2013 Sentra AC problem. Compressor turns on but high pressure = low pressure

I verified that the clutch is spinning which should mean the compressor is working. I just replaced the compressor also and the symptoms are the same. The AC clutch can - and should spin - but it's the engagement part, the CENTER part spinning that's important. If you weren't getting a pressure dif...

Re: 2002 GMC Envoy AC problems and what Ive tried to fix them

I believe the experts on this board would strongly advise against introducing any type of sealer into your AC system, and I agree. Sealers and other "miracle enhancers" often clog-up components and create additional and costly problems that weren't there before. Cans with the trigger, hos...

Re: 2008 Ford Ranger Plugged Orifice?

Although I'm not "an expert", I would sure want to know the high and the low pressures at about 2000 rpm with compressor engaged. You just bought this - maybe previous owner added sealer, maybe clogged stuff up. If mine, I'd replace the orifice tube and accumulator, and add by weight the c...

Re: Stuck ac line (but not the nut, the junction)

Have you tried to warm the outer fitting with a propane torch? And then maybe try to turn the flexible line's fitting?

Re: Very slow leak...or?

Think I'll go ahead and fully charge the system this week, then borrow or buy a sniffer if we run into problems. We do have a 12-pack of R134a! I suggest that you add some UV dye to the system, then you could use a UV light and goggles to find a leak. REMEMBER: DO NOT ADD ANY SEALANT OR REFRIGERANT...

Re: Very slow leak...or?

Sounds like a leak. But first make sure that the leak is NOT in your gauge set/fittings.

Re: AC went out after coolant blew out. Why?

It would be easier and less expensive to have a "real AC" shop find the source of the leak(s). Better than throwing parts at it.
