Re: 2004 BMW 325i (E46) Typical Leaks Locations?
I'm tempted to go ahead and replace the schrader valves and caps. I watched a video in which a mechanic used balloons to test for leakage from the valves. Since it seems the freon is low or completely out again it seems like a good time to replace them. I would use soap bubble solution on the caps ...

I think i need to bring it to an automotive a/c specialist. Neither mechanic used a sniffer. UV light and UV goggles get used in the dark or near-dark. An automotive AC specialist will use/have a combination of techniques to pinpoint leaks: UV dye, electronic detector ("sniffer"), soap bu...

Re: 2010 chevy cutaway school van conversion
Check your refrigerant charge by having it extracted and weighed and compared to factory labeled amount for your system. That is always the first diagnostic step. You cannot determine refrigerant amount by pressures. There may be trouble trying to find the listing for oz. refrigerant with an add-on...

If you can't include all the details in your post, don't ask for help here !!! Might have been helpful to know that a $50 wave the hands service had been performed. Maybe you should take over the service of this vehicle.Bigcountry21 wrote:If you can't answer my question don't comment.

If your system is low on refrigerant, then you have a leak, which must be fixed. Don't go adding those miracle sealers in a can, you'll ruin the system.
You don't sound that experienced, take it to a pro.

How can you knowingly do wrong like this and expect good results ???? Do you think all the techs and engineers worldwide who DO evacuate the systems before adding refrigerant are idiots ???Tommydigi wrote: I never vacuumed it out

Re: Denso Compressor with complete system oil charge
. It is strange that I only got 2.1 oz out of the new compressor. I've heard stories of new compressors having zero to too much oil, I'd always drain it all out (turning the compressor) and measure it. And then add the right amount. I would NEVER believe that a compressor had sufficient oil for an ...
