Re: Charging R134A as a liquid into the high side with engine off
Well, I was able to get 1 lb 8 oz through the high side as a liquid and then it stopped. Turned the drum right side up and got the remaining 8 oz in through the low side with the engine on. Surprised how little time it all took. Might do it this way from now on.

Charging R134A as a liquid into the high side with engine off
For 30 some years I've charged as a gas into the low side because that's how it was done. Now I've read a few members here who say to charge liquid thru the high side with engine off, then top off on low side if needed when running. Do I have to wait for the system to stabilize before going to the s...

Re: this is why the price of 134a is going up .EPA production cut
This is clearly to unnecessarily force older cars off the road. Many older cars' a/c have quit working so to say they will be forced off the road in nonsense. When the cost to repair exceeds what a person is willing to pay, they will either live with it or sell it to someone who call tolerate the h...

NO!!!!!!!! Don't even think of it. You will grenade the comp. Why will it grenade the comp now, charging with liquid on the low side, when you first said, I would have charged liquid thru the high side with engine off, then top off on low side if needed when running. Had nothing apart, seals dried ...

Re: Can't add a full charge to 2003 Ford E150
Truck has been sitting a year and a half and nothing done to it.
90°F
Didn't check with a thermometer but fairly cold
Rear is cold too.
Can I continue adding as a liquid to the low side?

Can't add a full charge to 2003 Ford E150
This is a dual a/c system with 60 oz capacity. Vacuumed for 2 hours and charged from a heated drum. After taking in 28 oz, it wouldn't take any more even when reving the engine. Gauges were in the 35-40 and 150-175 range. Air is blowing cold but why can't I put in a full charge? The tank weighs abou...
