Receiver Drier Location

Post by chuckwp »

Does it matter where in the liquid line the dries is located?
I am putting a system in a car with very limited space. It is not at all possible to mount it on or, very near the condenser. The evaporator/expansion valve/blower unit is in the trunk.
I am considering a horizontal flow drier in the liquid line as close to the condenser as possible but, it will may be about 4
feet away. Opinions?

As long as the flow is correct and is placed in the liquid line. It should not matter as long as you don't lay it flat.
