Possible blockage

Post by Davey boy »

Hello!

New to this forum, thank you for having me!

I have a Nissan Cube (in Japan) and the ac doesn’t blow cold..

There is plenty of gas in it and the compressor is turning, the high pressure was slightly lower than I think it should be but not by a big amount! The high pressure needle on my manifold set was ever so slightly flickering although I don’t know if that’s an issue (around 5-10psi).

The low pressure hose coming from the evaporator is not very cold, no condensation and the high pressure hose is very hot! So hot it was hard to take off my connector!

I thought there might be a blockage somewhere preventing the flow of gas, I did put half a can in and the pressure rose but shortly after fell back to what it was before. I wonder if it has a slight leak although I wouldn’t come across these symptoms if that were the case?

Thank you in advance!

Post both high and low side pressures at about 1800 rpm after a couple of minutes.

What year Nissan Cube, and R134a? Electric radiator/condenser fans or fan clutch?

I will take a picture and send it when I get off work and to the car!

It’s electric fan and is r134a.

The year is 2003.
