Is my compressor dead? Or is something else going on?

My son just came over with his 2012 Ford Focus.
I hooked up the gauges and they read 110-low (???) and 110-high with the A/C on max and fan on max.
It's 85 degrees out and the engine is at operating temp.
I went under the car with a flashlight, the belt is good, and the A/C clutch engages/disengages like it should when he turns the A/C off and on.

This has all the signs of a mechanical compressor failure, but I thought I'd ask the Forum if they agree and that there's not some other problem, like a low-pressure switch or something else that would keep the compressor from compressing.

My understanding is that if the compressor clutch is engaged it should be compressing with that amount of refrigerant in the system.

Any thoughts?

Pressures are way off.
Could be low on charge or as you mentioned bad compressor
If mine, I'd have a shop recover and recharge by weight then see what happens
