We assume of course that you had the high side handwheel closed when you did this test

Both high and low hand wheels were closed.

Yellow Jacket by Ritchie, (not cheapies) they’ve served me well for a few years now.

Wow, YJ is supposed to be better than that. I have 3 manifolds, and one is a YJ, never had problems. Maybe someone borrowed it and over tightened the hand wheels, ruining the seats, or maybe it got connected to a system that had sealer and it hardened up inside the manifold, not allowing the seats to seat properly
