Whistle

2015 Honda Fit EX manual. 103500 miles. About a week ago my Fit developed a whistle coming out of the engine compartment when the A/C is on. Sounds like a turbocharger! I have a K&N cabin filter that was cleaned 3 months ago. Thanks for the help.

What trim level Fit do you have? Is it conniption or screaming or tantrum? That's my wife's joke, I re-used it with her permission.
Might be a slipping clutch, if so the pulley and clutch disc will get really hot. I don't know much about that car, would you be able to check the air gap distance between the clutch and the pulley with feeler gauges? You might also be able to see the compressor clutch turning slower than the pulley.
