Does this system even have a POA?

Have you looked inside the fitting of the txv, allen head? There's your adjustment for the TXV. We got a bad run once and had to adjust like 200 valves. Not saying this is the case. Just mentioning the adjustment.

No POA.
I have seen the adjustment in the valve body, but would not know how to adjust it
Three different valves have a low probability of all being adjusted wrong.
I have on order a new evap and TXV from a supplier that ICE knows well

Normal process. Count how many turns until it stops one way or the other. Then count back, adding 1/4 to 1/2 turn. It was a long time ago, but I think CC closed the valve. ICE is a great guy. Try and locate an Egelhof valve.

Just checked Danfoss TXV literature.
CCW decreases superheat.
They give how many turns per degree change for R22 and R410.
Their specs do not necessarily apply to the 1.5 ton 135 valves we use in cars. Too bad the superheat is not externally adjustable like on resi equipment.If it were, it would be a breeze to dial the system in.

I looked at the Egelhof site and it appears they only have block valves

I did some quick math and my superheat is about 12, which is not far off from the typical 10, so it may not be the valve at all. Still very suspect of the Evap
