Greetings y’all. Question about Repair Ferrules

I am in the process of rebuilding the suction hose from my 1972 Chevy pick up. It was a custom install I did years ago utilizing a Sanden SD508 and retaining the original POA. Now I have to change out the #12 hose, but I need to reuse my existing fittings. I was thinking of making a “repair ferrule“ by taking a Dremel to a new ferrule and grinding an oblong hole in the ID just large enough to clear the swaged beadlock retainer and then re-crimping. Has anybody utilize these types of master repair ferrules in the past with good success?
Thanx!

I have found the supplier I mentioned above, Usually Tim here on the forum has good quality everything you need at discounted prices.
On eBay johnjoysyl is the guy who I know who has ferrules.I have been in his shop and seen loads of them.Give it a try.
Tim might not let this post stand, he has a rule against posting about other sites, for obvious reasons.
