I can see this post.

I think "traffic" on this site is way down because folks don't try or can't fix stuff anymore...or maybe "magic fix in a can" products have ruined many systems already.....

By the way, the evaporator I bought from you in 2000 and the compressor I bought from you in 2014 are still humming away producing cold air in my 1988 Mazda truck, which is still using R-12.

I had locked all the threads for a short time. Just turned the main section back on. I'm very busy and can't monitor the site like I once did. John said he would help in that regard. Nice old truck, sure it gets better fuel mileage than my 19 Tundra. :)

Actually, the carbureted 1988 Mazda truck (85hp) gets 18mpg at best, always has, and I've had it since 1994. My 1998 and 2004 Nissan Frontiers are 4-cylinder with 143hp, and they both get 26mpg; the 1998 Frontier at 295K miles (mine since 2004) is still on all its factory AC parts except for a replacement high pressure line and me removing one shim from its AC clutch.

Thx, John. Again, thanks for keeping an eye on the forum. I think we can be a little more relaxed on links, as long as they are nto blatant advertisements. I'm only unlocking the a/c section of the forum. There is enough data for other people to search things out.

Thanks to Cusser as well. I know he keeps an eye out as well.

Mrs. Cusser's 2014 Yukon Denali with 6.2 engine gets 16mpg unless she's towing a horse. Hopefully its 6.2 engine with AFM is more resistant to the lifter issues of the later years. I did install an AFM disabler module.
