R134a Quick Couplers

What's the difference in performance of cheaper couplers vs more expensive? I have one good set of Snap On gauges and several sets of cheap gauges. The couplers on the Snap On set are showing signs of wear. I bought a set of cheap couplers for cheap gauges, but I haven't had a chance to try them yet.

Cheap = snap on. Not the brand.

Professional will snap on and then screw down to make contact.

Santech make some good level couplers.
