R134a low side valve style

Post by msrichmond »

I pulled the valve on the right out of my low-side port. The replacement in my FJC assortment is the one on the left. Is it compatible with what I took out?

The valve on the left uses an O-ring to seal the valve itself into the valve body.

It is not clear to me how the valve on the right accomplishes that task. I would try to get the correct valve

I contacted FJC customer support.

They said

So, the one on the left is the correct part which is 2676 and the one on the right that you received from Amazon is a 2677.
They (Amazon) have sent you the wrong part number.
I went back to our warehouse and physically looked at them and you have two different part numbers there.
Let me know your address and I will send you the correct parts.

I processed the refund through Amazon and they don't even want the incorrect one back.

Kudos to FJC customer support, all it took was an email.

Both parts are for low-side, 8mm. But the 2676 is for R134a and 2677 is for R1234yf.
