Hello again. Been a year since last on.
New forum software will take some getting use to.
Yesterday I was strolling thru a local Walmart when the price of a can of 134A caught my eye. $4.88. Known brands are twice that price here. Looked on the can for where made. The info indicated can was made in China. Odd specification on just the can/container. Refrigerant made/filled there too?

Re: 134A made in China
Having a can checked for purity might be wise. Seems the entire industry has gone China these days.

Re: 134A made in China
I saw those cans also over the weekend. They are labeled as "Assembled in USA from components originating in USA and China". Can from China and R134a from USA?

Re: 134A made in China
More likely it's refrigerant from a Chinese factory, imported in container sized tanks then canned in the USA. If it has a reputable brand name on it they should have checked it for purity. It's a little better imported in bulk then canned in the USA because they can't cheat by putting real 134a in the top row of cans on the pallet to be sampled and bogus stuff underneath.
