The high-side pressure seems pretty good, but the low side is elevated, as is the (center front??) vent temperature. I'm presuming that you recorded these pressures with both the front and rear A/C turned on.Erik In TX wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 2:34 pm LP 55.5, HP 255 on a 95 deg ambient temp day best I can get on vent temps today is 57 deg.
Given the test situation that you set up, and at that ambient, I would expect the high-side pressure to rise into the mid-300's, if not to the threshold of the HPCO. So the compressor might indeed be somewhat anemic. But I think you said earlier that the compressor was new. Rather unusual that a new compressor is weak unless defective in some way from the factory. On the other hand, metal flakes on the OT screen—for a second time—suggest that the compressor might be slowly breaking down internally.Erik In TX wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 2:34 pm I disconnected the fan clutch and blocked the condenser....... 290 psi was highest HP I could get
