What Kind of oil?

I'm helping a friend resurrect the ac on a 1987 Chevy S-10. It has R134A fittings on it. When I change components, what kind of oil should I put back in?

It's a 1988 model.

Depends on the repair you are doing. For a "total" system flush, you can add back PAG oil 150. If you're not doing a total system flush, this is not recommended. You can use a POE oil.

The system must be clean of old oil and debris, or you can expect a failure, IMO.
